  • The Gem, also known as the Hydrapier, is a futuristic gallery space in Hoofddorp with art by Ward Strootman. Designed by Asymptote Architecture (Hani Rashid) for the 2002 Floriade, the building is surrounded by water and nature, with a flowing, sculptural form that blends seamlessly into the landscape.
